  •   How to find a right apartment?

Finding a good apartment is really a big deal in Beijing. So we suggest that, for a modest brokerage fee (always be one month rent), you can use the services of an agency. That will save time and provide more options.

  •   Is there a minimum stay?

A minimum of one year booking is required for most reservations. For a reservation with higher rent than usual, the minimum booking is at least one month.

  •   Is security deposit required?
  • security deposit of the rent is usually required and is refunded at the end of the term without interest. In most cases landlords require 1 month rent as security deposit.
    •   How are rents paid?

Rents are usually paid in RMB per three months in advance, in cash or bank transfer. But at the first time, you should prepare security deposit, three month's advance rent, realtor's commission altogether.

  •   What is typically included in the rent?

The rent included the usage of the furniture, heating and property, and always does not cover utility fee (water, electricity, gas, phone, network) or cleaning, bed necessaries, kitchen equipment, toiletries and other personal items.

Einstein professors are expected to visit at least two CAS institutes in two different Chinese cities, and to carry out in-depth academic discussions with researchers and graduate students at the host institutes. Each visit is of one to two weeks duration. Also, the Einstein professor is expected to deliver a lecture either at the host institute or the Graduate University of CAS located in Beijing or at the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei. In exchange, each Einstein professor is expected to receive one or two CAS fully-funded young CAS researchers from the host institute or institutes to work in their laboratories for a period of normally one to three months (which may be extended to up to six months). These visits will be fully funded by CAS.
